CIT Program
Sprouts Counsellor in Training program will introduce participants to the fundamentals of being a Camp Counsellor. (also useful skills while babysitting!)
Each trainee will be assigned to a group of campers, with one of our experienced head counselors to mentor them through the week.
Our CITs will learn leadership and counseling skills that will be applied in practical situations by:
assisting in supervising campers in both small and large groups
handling minor discipline situations
helping organize and plan camper activities
acting as a positive role model and mentor
being a team player
Our trainees are given constructive evaluations at the end of each week and will also take part in an Intro to First Aid seminar.
Each week has space for 3 trainees.
Enrolment is only available for a full week, not on a day-by-day basis.
CIT camp will run from 8:30am - 4:30pm, at the cost of $250 + HST for the week. Camp staff shirts are supplied to our trainees.
